oUR mISSION
"To invite people into a growing faith in Jesus Christ . . .
a gathering where God’s presence is experienced
in love and power. "
"Fellowship is a kind of belonging that isn’t based on status, achievement, or gender, but instead is based on a deep belief that everyone matters, everyone is welcome, and everyone is loved, no conditions, no exceptions."
—Brian McLaren
Matthew 18:20
Where is Your Statement?
"I have no doctrine. I only point out something. I point out reality, I point out something in reality which has not or too little been seen. I take him who listens to me at his hand and lead him to the window. I push open the window and point outside. I have no doctrine, I carry on a dialogue."
—Martin Buber
"You have your heads in your Bibles constantly because you think you’ll find eternal life there. But you miss the forest for the trees. These Scriptures are all about me!"
—Jesus Christ (John 5:39 MSG)
What We bELIEVE
"We are a community of believers passionate about God's manifest presence. We believe that God is good and our great privilege is to know and experience Him!"
god
God is love... he isn't mad... he isn't having a bad day, and he isn't looking for someone to "take it out on." He is eternally self existent, revealing himself in three persons: God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Jesus revealed God as our Father, and said, "He who has seen me has seen the Father." In other words, God looks like Jesus!
Jesus Christ
Jesus, God's Son, co-existent with Father and Holy Spirit throughout eternity, was not only divine like God, he was God. Supernaturally born on earth as a man, He reconciled humanity to God, placing us "in Christ", rescuing humanity from alienation, broken identity, and the power of death. He revealed who God is, both in the selfless laying down of His life on the cross, and by the love He demonstrated for ALL!
holy spirit
Holy Spirit is a person not a force or "it." His name doesn't begin with "The." Co-equally divine and existent with the Father and Jesus, these three form the triune Godhead. Holy Spirit has a particular assignment of speaking only the things Jesus is saying, guiding hearts and minds to Jesus. He speaks, reveals, comforts, empowers, bestows gifts, illuminates scripture, and walks with us! Fun!!
Everyday life
Jesus demonstrated the life we can enjoy. He also taught us to pray, "Father... your Kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven." This is God's will and design... living a "blessed" life here, now! This life is possible by growing in one's understanding of who we are in Christ and renewing our thoughts with the principles of scripture.
What to expect
-
What to expect when you show up!When you arrive you'll be welcomed by friendly, casual individuals who are excited to see you. Be yourself and relax. There is no one to impress and no one watching in judgment of how you've combed your hair, whether you have on shorts and sandals or dressy duds, and no one will be counting your tattoos!

What if I don't know the songs and can't sing well?We either put the words up on a screen or hand them out on paper. Regardless, don't worry about it. Most of us don't remember them very well and can't keep a tune. LOL!
-
What about my children, is there something for them?"Presently we don't have separate childcare, nurseries, or children's functions. If that's an area of serving you feel a calling to, give Pastor Jeff a call or respond to his email: jkorsen@genesiscc.net.

What will I hear about money and people being asked to give?Very little actually. In fact, you will never experience pressure to give. If the message you hear touches your heart or you witness something you'd like to help us with, we invite you to share your financial support and gifts. YOU will be blessing people.
