Practical, Life-giving, Engaging!

In 2001, several Denver church leaders, desperate to see men and women changed by God's presence, came together to consider the planting of a new church. During 2003, after much discussion, planning and prayer, the Holy Spirit gave direction to plant Genesis Community Church (GCC) in the northern suburbs of Denver (Thornton). Meeting on Saturday evenings as a “core” team, 10-12 couples have prayerfully determined our mission, ministry philosophy, and next steps.

In July 2008, we opened our arms to the community in a whole new way, launching Sunday morning services in our current facility just off I-25 at 120th in Thornton. Genesis Community Church is contemporary in style, authentic in worship, evangelical in doctrine, refreshing and informal in form, intellectually challenging and emotionally uplifting in message, and world-focused in missions.

God created you for great purpose. His plan for your life was laid out before you were born. Do you believe it? We do. The clearest way for you to keep your life in perspective is to realize that coming of age (no matter what your age) means coming to terms with God's claim on your life. Finding fulfillment means finding God and His awesome plan
for your life. As a church, our passion and commitment is to help you build your destiny, to listen to your dreams and help prepare you for them and to never, never, never limit you in the greatness and excellence of your call.

Then consider joining us for our weekly Sunday morning worship service. Service begins at 10:45 a.m. and runs approximately an hour and fifteen minutes. You will experience engaging worship and relevant teaching from God's Word. Nursery (0-5) and Kid's Club (6-12) will be provided.
